@fdroidorg
This is extremely disappointing.

Can you post your opinion on climate change, gun control, abortion, etc as well, because you need to take a stance with that now too.

I think Fedilab is making the only right decision, giving users more options/freedom NOT to interact with ppl/instances they don't want to, but you're suggesting to flag them?
Flagging Tusky for restricting people's freedom to interact or not with certain people would be appropriate.

@FreePietje

For the record, I think your last sentence is quite unnecessary.
@fdroidorg

@61 @fdroidorg
Why?

I don't understand the flagging of Fedilab, but if it 'must' be done, then flagging Tusky would be more appropriate for reasons @chris explained.
If a dev/app decides what I can and cannot see, I'd like to know about it.

@FreePietje
They're not going to tag Fedilab nor Tusky.
As I understood, they're going to let people run their own tagging system for themselves.

@FreePietje
Because nobody should be “flagging” anything. The developers who wrote those applications do so out of personal choice and motivation and a desire to share their work with the public, for the public's benefit.

They're putting a lot of time and effort into it, and whatever you think of their choices, or the apps themselves, they deserve respect above all.

@fdroidorg @chris

@61 @fdroidorg @chris
I completely agree with that.
I found it odd that @fdroidorg brought it up in the first place.

I may now see what you're referring to. I should've said "more appropriate/justified" (if you really had to flag some one/app, which I don't agree to begin with)

@FreePietje
Yeah I realise you didn't mean to slag anyone off and definitely agree that this was an incredibly poor move from someone speaking for @fdroidorg. Whoever you were, consider coming forward, apologising for handling things poorly, and working on a way to do it properly.

@chris

@FreePietje @fdroidorg Also doesn't make sense to me that the tool that actively restricts my choices should not be flagged while the solution leaving me the choice and possibility to block myself should be flagged. Users should not be treated like childs that are too dumb to decide for themselves. This is not about gab or whatever, I don't even know that site but my general opinion.
