I just removed my #LinkedIn account. Main reasons: they openly spy on who views what & profiles are not visible without an account. Doesn't make sense to me.
@orionwl Yeah the main reason I kept it alive was the prospect of ever losing my job. Especially since I am thinking about moving a lot of my GitHub work towards a self-hosted instance as well (once #ForgeFed exists and #Gitea supports it).
But I figured screw it. If I'm really desperate at some point, I can make desperate measures :)
@stevenroose exactly, can always create an account again in that case
for me, both twitter and github have been more useful in finding work than linkedin, so it was a fair amount of work to maintain (even just managing the "do you want to connect" requests) for no real gain
