Founding all of your cryptographic protocols on the same mathematical hardness assumption is a bit like leaving all your bitcoin on Mt Gox. Lots of motivation to crack it.

In this PR @kristapsk makes an interesting point (as best I understand it) - what if the receiver in a payjoin contributes an unconfirmed utxo? BIP78 doesn't mention it afaik. Perhaps something should be added in regard to this?

@NicolasDorier @kukks thoughts?

omg. OMG. **OMG!!!**

Okay I know this sounds like nonsense but oh my god! Captp + handoffs on three *independent* peers over tor onion services, with everyone chatting over goblin-chat!

Each user has their own address on the p2p network! *No* central server!

This is HUGE!

h/t Greg Maxwell, this is a very interesting blog post from last year by hdevalence about the trickiness of using signature schemes in full consensus systems; ed25519 in particular here. The same struggles plagued Bitcoin somewhat in the early years (see bip62/66 and some other stuff), *but* curve25519 having a cofactor is quite frankly absolutely awful and makes it *way* worse:

This is one for the nerds and @Tesla fans. Andy Schroder built a real time machine-to-machine charger for electric cars, that are paying over the #bitcoin lightning network. youtu.be/ynZYQiJx3no

I mean really it's more like 6 months. Kind of annoying.

The BIP (78) had a list with wallets in various stages of integration, but since I haven't succeeded in getting JM's status updated for more than 3 months:

github.com/bitcoin/bips/pull/1

.. it's probably fair to say that list may not be reliable :)

Been fine tuning some payjoin details in the JM code last week; it still tests out correctly with btcpayserver on mainnet, but I'd like to test either sender or receiver with one or two other wallets, does anyone know an example that's practical? ideally with signet support but I can do mainnet.
